Hotels

page pix We work with a variety of hotels in Paris and throughout France, and now, in Spain and Italy. Our emphasis is on hotels that reflect the character of the country and the culture, without sacrificing modern day comfort and convenience.

In Paris, all the hotels included in our packages and tours are VERY centrally located. In other regions, hotel choices are determined by the best and most convenient local choices. Non-driving packages include hotels in city centers, within easy walking distance of shopping and touring. Driving packages may include city hotels or countryside hotels, and you may request your preference. Many of our hotels are historic properties.

Our programs normally do not include chain hotels or modern-style budget accommodations, as we have found these to have the least charm and character. However, if we find a wonderful characterful hotel with a chain affiliation, we are happy to work with them.

This group of independent hotels began as a Parisian group and has expanded through France and now, throughout Europe. We have found their members to have a consistently high quality of comfort and service, and their Paris hotels are in great locations!

Relais du Silence / Silencehotels
Relais du Silence unites another group of independent hotels located mainly in country settings, throughout France and other locations in Europe. We have found them to be charming and comfortable and often in remarkable buildings and locations.

Chateaux Hotels de France
As its name implies, many of the hotels belonging to this group are chateaux hotels or hotels located in other historic buildings. They represent a wide variety of locations and the sort of ‘character’ lodgings that we find very appealing. Many are quite small, with an intimate quality that clients find most welcoming.

We also work with many independent hotels and are always adding new partners. You will find some – but not all – of them represented with various tours and packages.
