European trains are a revelation to American travelers. They’re fast, clean, ultra-modern, on time, comfortable – and they go to every major city and most minor cities throughout Europe. For meandering from village to village, or chateau to chateau, a car – or a driver – is definitely an advantage. But for major cities, long distances, and ease of connection, European trains are definitely the way to go.

Many of our packages include train travel even for those who plan to drive a portion of their trip. Train from Paris to the Loire valley, for example, or Paris to Provence, is comfortable, convenient, and as fast as flying, when you add in all that airport waiting time.
